In the heart of Old Town Alexandria, Silverman Galleries is one of metro DC's longest established antique shop still under original ownership, and among the strongest in ANTIQUE JEWELRY. Mr. Silverman founded the shop on Capitol Hill in 1958, but moved here when the Library of Congress expanded and needed his block. In addition to jewelry, THE INVENTORY OF ART AND OBJECTS IS LARGE, DIVERSE AND DEFINITELY ANTIQUE.

The son of a platinumsmith to the diamond trade, Mr. Silverman maintains a broad range of antique and estate jewelry, from 18th and 19th century Georgian and Victorian, through Art Nouveau to Art Deco, including vintage Tiffany, Cartier, Hedges and other fine makers. Silverman Galleries is especially known for original PLATINUM AND DIAMOND RINGS of the early 20th century, chosen for fine workmanship and beautiful design.
