Special Note To Tour
Directors
The Old Town Experience would like to enhance
your next visit to Alexandria, Virginia. We are a company specializing in group
tours, providing either step-on bus guides or a guide for a walking tour of the
city's historic district.
Bus tours with a step-on guide last slightly
over an hour with a stop a historic Christ Church. The cost is five dollars per
person.
Walking tours are also slightly over one hour in length and
discuss the city's unique architecture, hospitality symbols, historic sites,
folklore, and many famous residents. The cost for a walking tour is five dollars
per person.
Robert E. Lee's boyhood home, Carlyle House, Gadsby's Tavern,
or the Old Apothecary Shop can be added to your tour. Each of the museums is an
additional four dollars and lasts 40 minutes longer.
Lunch, Dinner, Tea,
a riverboat cruise, or a shopping tour can be arranged and tailored to fit your
groups' schedule and interests. Alexandria is located just across the Potomac
River from Washington, DC and it is ten miles north of George Washington's home
at Mt. Vernon.
We would love to share historic Old Town with your group
and provide a warm welcome to first time guests, as well as returning
visitors.
I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to working with
you. Take some time experiencing Old Town.
