French Country Antiques is chock full of 18th and 19th century French furniture, pottery & linens from Provence, and all sorts of art & decorative French items.

The proprietor, Mimi Russell, travels to France and hand picks everything herself. Mimi was born and raised close to Poitiers, France; and came to the United States in the late sixties. Here you will find French parquet tables, or a cherry farm table with the drawer and pull out

There are copper bedwarmers, painted chairs from Provence, enamelware from France, 19th century Louis-Philippe mirrors, and new pottery from the South of France. She also has a good selection of yellow and green confit pots. In artwork, look at original pastels by Helene Liotar and original oils by Raymond LeClair. The shop is located at the intersection of King Street and Patrick Street in the heart of Old Town Alexandria.

Hours: Monday through Saturday 10:30 to 6pm (except closed Tuesdays), and Sunday 12 to 5pm.
